Quentin will get even with Chuck by doing some hair removal. All that craziness, without getting caught. finally, they accomplish 10 things out of the 11, but Quentin gets nervous when he finds out what the last one is, going to Sea World.
" "Here's what's not beautiful about it: from here, you can't see the rust or the cracked paint or whatever, but you can tell what the place really is. You see how fake it all is. It's not even hard enough to be made out of plastic. It's a paper town. I mean look a t it, Q: look at all those cul-de-sacs, those streets that turn in on themselves, all the houses that were built to fall apart. All those paper people living in their paper houses, burning the future to stay warm." (Green 57)
WOW! That is so true! People nowadays just live fake lives hoping everything is perfect to fit in a perfect society. They just worry about how other people think of them but they can't realize that what really matters its outside their paper worlds. Those persons need that the strongest wind blows their paper lives away so they realize what they really have with them even when the rest is gone. Margo is one of the few people that has seen the world as it is, real. As Margo says, everything is paper-thin and paper- frail, including the people. Everybody just wants to own as much as possible to feel important, to "fit in".
OUCH! Poor Chuck, that must have hurt. Well, at least now he won't make the girls refuse to dance with Quentin. And that's not all. Margo's punishments can be much worst than taking your eyebrow. She took away Becca and Jase's love by telling Becca's dad about their secret love in the basement, I don't think that went well. This quote shows that Margo is not the type of person you wanna mess with. While reading this I realized how we react to this kind of stuff. Probably we just stop being friends with that person that hurt us, but removing his/her eyebrow, that's something only Margo would do."Margo nodded then, and I walked over to Chuck. I wrapped my hand in my T-shirt, as she'd told me to do, leaned forward, and- as softly as I could- pressed my finger against his forehead and then quickly wiped away the Veet. With it came every last hair that had been Chuck Parson's right eyebrow" (Green 66)
